Now I Know The Playstation3 Has a Blue Ray Player What I Want To Know Is Will It Play Regular Dvd Movies That Are Not Blue Ray

  1. yes, it does play DVDs.


  2. It could play DVD.

  3. yes it will and CDs too. With the latest update tv ps3 will improve the DVD quality as well (if you have he tv)

  4. The Warner Brother's decsion to go with Blu-Ray exclusivley has put the hurt to HD-DVD for sure. It' s my understanding that the PS3 is backward-compatible with standard DVDs.
