Blue & Red bedroom?

Question

i have decided that i would like to re-do my room into the colors of brightblue&brightred. i really like the energy these colors create, but i dont want it to look all patriotic.

anyway, the ? is, can anyone find a bedspread to match? i cant, so far.

and opinions? are these bad colors or anything?

I don't know about blue and red... I would suggest diffrent colors but my friend has the same room colors. A dark red and navy blue. Try an all Blue, plain bed spread. I hope your new room looks amazing!

I think the key to make the room look non patriotic is to choose a lighter blue.

or anything else red or blue..when you decorate you can add accent colors such as teal or light purple

There is a way you can use these colors without being patriotic. You just have to be careful. My advice is to add a darker color in there, like black or brown.

Then chose one of the two colors for the bedspread (maybe a pattern) and paint two of the wall the other color. This way you can contrast the colors. Then paint the other two walls, one black or brown, and one the color of the bedspread.

Art work I would go to www.allposters.com. I would chose some but art is a matter of opinion. but pick a coupl brown or black to but on the red walls and pick a colorful one to but on the brown or black wall.

Just be careful not to over power the blue and red with the darker colors to get rid of patriotism.

the blue and red might look patriotic, but you could try bright pink to get away from that. also, you could buy a blue bedspread from somewhere, and then put red pillows or red sheets. you dont need to have both colours on everything.
