Blue Tongued Skink or Bearded Dragon?

Question

My birthday is just a month away, and I'm thinking about getting a lizard like I did years ago. I'm thinking between two though and I'm not sure which one I want... I once had blue tongue, and it was fairly easy to handle and take care of. I really enjoyed it. Recently, bearded dragons have also caught my attention, and I heard they're pretty cool. I don't know which one I'd rather get though... Any suggestions?

I have both and since you already had a bts I would say go with the dragon. The dragon would react to his environment more than bts do or seem to. They enjoy being handled and get almost as big.  I know that you probably have done your research, but here are websites that will help you with the setup.

I would pick the bearded dragon...they are pretty cool.  We had one once (named Syd) - I love to watch them attack their crickets.  Happy birthday!

pick the bearded dragon it is more friendly to be handle and loves to be around people, but also bearded dragon can be expensive they can be like 480$ up front but if i had the choose i would pick the beard dragon.

get the bluey they are way more nicer and easier to take care of

Bearded Dragons are easier to look after and can be handled a lot more .. blue tongues can be very skitish

either one makes an excellent choice its really up to you their care is nearly identical and personalitys are great in both so just flip a coin you can go wrong.
