  1. I know the answer to this! In the old days people used to fear that evil spirits would lurk outside schools to snatch childnre. As boys were considered more precious, they drtessed them in blue which was meant to be havenly and protection. The girls were just dressed in black.

It's not known why pink was used for girls.

Haha whoever the saddo is thumbing me down, check out google freak!

  2. The world used to be even more stuck in gender-role stereotypes than it is today.  Pink/blue is just one example of how people used to think in absolutes.  Today c**p like this is (thankfully) less important.

  3. Thanks for teaching me something. I had no idea it was once reversed.

  4. Pink used to be seen as a masculine colour because it is a shade of red, and red was associated with warfare (British soliders wore red uniforms up until the turn of the last century).

Blue is the colour associated with the Virgin Mary, and used to be considered a female colour.

The change in perception of these colours apparently occured early in the last century, but I have no idea why.

  5. little girls liked the color pink

    . princesses and stuff.

idk its just how it goes

  6. I think it is because pink is associated with pretty flowers and things. Over time it just became ingrained into our psyche's and society to view blue as a masculine color and pink as a feminine color. Another reason this could have happened is because the woman's v****a is often described as being 'pink'.
