Question:

Blue and white shields on cars in Philadelphia?

I live in the Philadelphia area and have noticed a lot of these blue and white shields on the back of cars. Sometimes its just half blue and half white, sometimes its checkered, sometimes its some other pattern, but always the same size (~2x3") and always blue and white. I usually see them on BMWs, but have seen them on a few volvos too. There's no dealer name on the shield, so I'm not thinking they're from a dealer. Are they from a european car club or something? Does anybody know what these shields mean?

  1. They are commonly known as "euro badges"

Its just a thing geeks put on their cars that symbolizes where the car was from originally (like anyone didn't know) and also they have flags from other countries like it.. Its just a stupid moronic thing to put on your car and a waste of money..

  2. Well, blue and white are the colors of the state of Bavaria in Germany, but that as no relation to Volvo, so I'm unsure.  Perhaps it's a dealer symbol.

  3. like this

  4. Maybe the free mason thing.

Google "free mason symbol" and see if it looks like what you're talking about.
