Blue crown Conure troubles...

Question

We have had ours for about 2 years and the problem is we still can hold him without him biting!

He does let me pet his head sometimes, but no one else in my family can.

Any advice on how to actually be able to hold my bird???

1.  Did you get it when it was a chick?  Birds bond the most with humans that they've known their entire life - ones that they're strongly imprinted on.

2.  It may only be imprinted onto you.

3.  Trust takes time and appropriate socialization to develop.  The hand needs to be steady and gentle, and not seen as a threat.
