Will wearing blue jeans in Italy or Switzerland make me look like a tourist? If so, what should I wear? What is the temperature there right now?

  1. You'll look just fine in both places since jeans are always in. For Switzerland I'd take really warm dresses since it's already snowing in most places and pretty cold. Italy it depends where you go to.

  2. You'll look unique, if they don't  dress like that, so that's cool, I guess.

  3. Blue jeans are very common in Italy; the peak was in the 80s, perhaps, but wearing a blue jeans doesn't label you as "a tourist".

By the way "blue jeans" came from the French "blue de Gene", which means "Blue of Genoa", the Italian city where this kind of blue colored fabric became popular between sailors and dockworkers.

  4. Wearing jeans anywhere in Italy is totally fine! Everyone really wears everything. Just don't wear the f***y pack, bright white sneakers, and a visor....I am not even stereotyping here. I lived in Italy last year and the tourists all seriously dress like that.

  5. Nooooo!!!Do not worry about dressing code!!!I am Italian and in italy we are used to dress jeans everyday!!Jeans are the most common way to dress here. They are comfortable and very cool!!!My wife (29 years)like all the italian girls dress jeans everyday....

    Enjoy your trip
