Question:

Blue wallpaper warning virus?

So I got a malware virus thing. And I don't know how to get rid of it. My laptop won't even turn on correctly. It just loads the wallpaper and that's it and I'm really scared. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help? Here's a screenshot. I tried turning it on twice but it just stopped loading and the last time I tried it only loaded the wallpaper warning and it just stopped there. Please help if you can! It won't turn on and I don't know what I can do. It turns on, but like... it'll just stop and freeze there, I think. It's slower, too. But nothing seems to be processing. Please please please help! I'm really scared and desperate and I'd do anything if I can. HEre's a screenshot.

I really hope that I don't have to wipe out my laptop. I'm not even sure if I can do it since it won't turn on correctly.

  1. Download an run the the following free software, delete what ever they find should leave your PC free of infections:

    Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

    SuperAntispyware: http://www.download.com/SUPERAntiSpyware...

    SmitfraudFix: http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.e...

    Avast Anti-Virus: http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Editi...

Once you have removed it keep Avast and download Comodo Pro firewall, then switch to Firefox 3 if you are browsing with IE this should stop it returning. (links on my profile)

  2. try the instructions on this page

  3. I had that same exact screen yesterday!!! What are the odds.

Spybot Search & Destroy and a restart got rid of it. If you have any anti-virus software, I would start your computer in safe mode and run them followed by restarting.

    A few good free programs:

    AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

    Avira AntiVir Personal

    Spybot S & D

  4. Update your Anti Virus and Anti Spyware

    Turn off System restore

    Start Computer in Safe Mode

Scan with Anti Virus and Anti Spyware

After scan is finished and you have deleted the Trojan

Restart computer set a new restore point and delete all previous points.

Rescan with Anti Virus and Anti Spyware.

If you do not have Anti Virus or Anti Spy Ware I recommend Avast and Spyware Terminator.

Download, install and update from these links
