does a "plug and play" bluetooth dongle need any drivers downloaded (or software)

  1. If you have access to Windows Updates (meaning that you have a genuine version of your OS) then the driver will be installed automatically.

    If you, however, got a 'non-genuine' version of your OS, then you can download BlueSoleil for free and use that as the driver softwate.
