Bluetooth on Pantech Duo?

okay, so i've had my pantech duo for like 2 months now.

i understand everything and haven't had any problems yet!

however this is my first phone with bluetooth and it's still kind of confusing to me. i have no problems recieving ringtones from other people or downloading them from my computer.

but sometimes, i try to send ringtones to other people and it doesnt always work. and yes, i know we have to be less than 30 feet apart. we were like 5 inches apart. and her bluetooth was turned on because my phone picked her up and everything. i know you have to go to the ringtone you want to send then you have to press 'beam' and then pick the device you want to send to. (by the way, does anyone know why my phone NEVER picks up their name? it always says 'unknown device' even if im connected to them and everything.)

but then sometimes it says failed so i try it again, and it just keeps failing then she told me "you can send me a different one! i don't want 4 ringtones of this song!" so, what do i do to make my phone stop being stupid and say "sent" instead of saying "failed"

  1. it might be because of different bluetooth versions.  pantech duo's are v1.3 i think, and most other phones these days are v2.0.   u can always send from high to low, but not the other way around.  u can always send via multimedia text.  hope this helps.  and usually with the "unknown device" deal, try making a connection thru bluetooth before just beaming the files.  sometimes you may jus need to wait about 15 secs to show a name.
