Question:

Bluetooth receiver to 3.5mm jack plug?

My car has a 3.5mm jack plug socket in the glovebox, connected to the radio, to connect an auxiliary input. Can I get a bluetooth receiver that will plug into this socket so as I can use the aux setting for sound from the phone during a call? It needs to receive the sound from the call not just a built in MP3 player. Any ideas?

  2. yes u can , i did it , but its not something u will get at the store.  i took apart  a blue tooth  ear piece  connect the speaker wire to a 3.5 mm jack . so ins ted of hearing  the sound it will go through the jact into the aux of the car .and i wire the mic up into the head liner , closest to your face.  also u have to keep the power on the set on all the time , if not it will not keep the pair with the phone so . i use a 12 v charger that came with the blue tooth and power it . now when the phone rings , u hav e to do 2 things .

1 .. switch over to Aux

2 .. switch on the blue tooth as if u takin a call . the sound will come throught the speakers and the mic will hear your voice

good luck.    i did it for fun ... i like doing stuff like that

  3. No you can't
