Let's say I had a cell phone for 2 years that supported bluetooth. I recently stopped service for that phone. Will bluetooth still work if it can no longer be used for calls?

  1. yes bluetooth will still work. Bluetooth, is not a service-dependent feature, its part of the phone.

    Hope this helps :)

  2. Yes, I have recently purchased a cell phone but  I can activate it or make calls until the 31st. I turned on the phone but i could only make emergency calls. Then i plugged in an old sim card in the phone ( temporarily) and the phone worked completely but I couldnt make calls. The bluetooth worked significantly and I used it to transfer music and games to my friends and brother.

If you stopped service for the phone that you have now, and you still have the old sim card in it, it should boot up normally and bluetooth should work. Bluetooth is an application installed on the phone and not with your cell phone carrier.

    Have fun!
