My tooth is kinda bluish/grey on one side(inner part of mouth)

it hurts every once in a while not too bad but bad enough to notice.

when it does hurt it usually passes with 30min - 1 hour.

i do have a filling in it.

So is this normal? hope i don't need a root canal.

  1. teeth go a blue/gray/brown color when they die! go to a dentist for a check up! good luck!

  2. You really need to see a dentist, but this usually a sign that you hit your tooth, or there is some form of germ that has gotten to the tooth causing necrosis.  This will usually turn a gray-black-bluish color.  It may get worse and travel into your gums and form an abcess, but if caught early enough can probably be saved by your dentist.

  3. my mom had 1 like that on her side of her tooth she replace the tooth so depends if u hate or like it

  4. ABBIE,

YOU  TOOTH WILL NEED A ROOT CANAL BECAUSE THE COLOR CHANGES WERE DUE TO IMPROPER BLOOD FLOW IN THE TOOTH.

  5. it sounds like you need a root canal. root canals ARE NOT as bad as people make them out to be. i had one in april and the only reason i had problems is because i couldn`t get numb. after 15 shots of novicane i was finally numb and i was fine. the worst part is having to hold your mouth open.
