Blurred vision when inserting contact lenses?

I wore contact lenses for 6 years without any problems. Then, my eyes started becoming very dry and started having trouble inserting my contact lenses. I went to the optometrist and there was no problems with my eyes except for the fact that they are very dry.

I got a trial pair of Acuvue Oasys but I didn’t like them because I was unable to remove those contact lenses! I then purchased a pair of eyeglasses that I sort of liked and started wearing them. I have not worn any contact lenses for 2 years.

Here’s my question -> Now, I just went to the optometrist and I have a trial pair of Proclear contact lenses. When I insert them, my vision is very blurry and I really don’t see well. I tried putting artificial tears (in case my eyes are dry) but it doesn’t help. There is no tear and it is the right prescription (at least the new prescription that the optometrist gave me at my last appointment. Also, I didn’t mix up the right and left eye. What's could be the problem?
