Blurry TV...what's wrong?

I got cable just recently, and the channels are coming through but they have no color and are very blurry. The movies watched on the tv are crystal clear. I checked and everything is connected, what can I do to make the image clear?

the cable tech installed it a lil wrong, prolly. did u get a cable box? hd box? dvr box? possibly a sink issue. ur tv and box is fighting to produce the correct output i.e. 408i-1080p. one is prolly stuck and will only work on one and the other can change but is programmed to the one diff then the tv. jus ask for a tech to come out and he can DIAGNOSE it. and the switch is not affecting the reception of cable unlike some ppl think.

  At this point, if the user manual is no help I would call the cable provider and have them come out to "diagnose" the problem. It could be something as simple as a "wrong" hook up scheme or something wrong with their equipment.  I have cable also and with the switch over to digital TV taking place, things are a mess right now.
