Blurry jpeg file?

Question

I got pictures scanned and put onto a USB drive as a jpeg file.

I need them to make a movie/slideshow and they are smaller than i thought.

When I try to enlarge them, they turn somewhat blurry.

Is there anyway I can prevent the blurry pictures?

Save the picture as a bitmap, these have higher resolution and will look better : )

may need to check original scanned images or properties for sizes, best to scan pictures at higher resolution 300+ , if you scanned images low at 72 , and images are small, you would have low quality like a thumbnail for web links,
