Blurry tv

Question

I have a toshiba that has nice clear color but the words are very blurry. when i play my vidoe games there very blurry but it looks great when i watch movies. I dont understand what could be wrong Ive tried putting the contrast down then its do dark even at 50 percent the words are still blurry I dont now if I should try to fix it my self of just get a new tv.
