  1. WeThePeople are a great company based in Germany, I've admired them for a long time and their parts do not disappoint. I started out riding a GT and longed for a WTP people bike.

The Addict is around $400 and the Reason is around $300. The parts on the Addict are slightly lighter (micro gearing-small cogs, slim seat etc) which makes the Addict a more attractive buy compared to the Reason, however the Reason is still a great bike.

Both bikes have Salt parts on them, that's WTP's budget brand, but don't think that the parts are bad. I run Salt pedals on my custom build bike and I wouldn't every change them for another brand, I love them.

A big difference is that the Addict has a rear cassette and the Reason has a freewheel instead. What this means is that when you ride backwards you'll have to pedal backwards too on the Addict. But on the Reason the pedals won't move if going backwards.

I prefer cassettes to freewheels as they are more reliable and easier to work on.

I have linked Dan's Comp but please buy your bike from a local shop, it's more reliable and you can try the bikes out in person. Plus you'll get product support and be able to barter the price down.

I hope you choose a bike that you'll love

    respect to WTP!!
