Almost every other night before i go to sleep i go to bmw.com and i look at the 2008 m3 car and i say d**n ha ha ha lol kinda true maybe 2 a week .... well it is like 60 thousand. i know by the time i save up and get outstanding credit a new m3 will come out but regardless. if any one has an m3 fairly new at leat 2005 tell me about it. is it a joy to have is it really that much of a performance machine like the website says ( of course bmw will say that) but other sources such as auto magaiznes and shows liek top gear just call the cars " absoultly brilliant " is this all true or is it a hype to buy it... what color is yours.... do u cruise on 5 th gear ??? does it really have great handling?

  1. Mine is green, it's beautiful I do love it, it handles very nicely, yes i cruise in 5th gear. My only gripe is that it is SOOOOOOOO expensive to maintian. I do love it a lot though. She's beautiful.

  2. i saw a 500seris yeasterday, looks sweet

    i saw a m3 today, looks sweet

go to wiki and type in m3

my advice to ya is buy a used one

    yes it's got great handling

    the ultimate driving machine bro

  3. The new M3 is just great. So poised, and precise. Gosh it's spectacular. Despite this, I would want an M5 because of it's power, but to each his own.

  4. I used to have a 2004 Silver M3 with SMG transmission and every option except for the phone.  Honestly, I didn't like the car, I expected more from it since everyone was so hyped up about it.  BMW covers maintenance for the first four years, but my 1999 323i was costing over $1000/visit to the dealer so I figured the M3 will eventually live up to that as well.  If you do buy one, I recommend attending the driving school that BMW offers, it will teach you how to use it correctly.  This is not a car to go drag racing in, you'll be left in the dust by a lot of cars out there.  I heard the third generation of SMG is great on the new M3, but that is what they said about the second generation.  For me the car is totally overrated and over priced for what you get.  Go with a Porsche, you will never drive those European Taxi Cabs ever again.

  5. Yes I have one. It's an 02, but no difference from 05, all E46 M3 are basically the same. There were some differences in mid 03, but I have all those changes anyway. I cruise in 6th gear, and yes it is awesome. Over 100 HP per liter, 8000 red line- no American car can say that. If I wanted a 600 pound engine in the front of my car, well you get the point. All those 5.0 and bigger engines are just as fast as my 3.2 liter 6 cylinder. 3.2 liter no turbo, 333 HP. I like 4 seats too (actually 5). Mine is jet black. 50/50 weight distribution means it handles like a dream. I love it.

I bought mine new, considering a new one again. http://www.photobucket.com/albums/n68/ri...

  6. In my opinion any new car is all hype. However a BMW is just a big expense

    08 BMW M3 415hp  $60K

    08 Chevy Corvette 430hp $50K

Looks like the Corvette has more horses for less money. The M3 makes 7hp for every thousand dollars you spend and the Corvette makes 8.6.

    08 BMW M3 415hp $60K

    90-96 Nissan 300ZX TT 300hp $10K-

Up against an older car (my favorite) you are getting 30hp per $1000 spent which is 4 times more value than a new M3 and $10,000 is actually quite a bit for a 300ZX, $5000 could buy one and then you have an 8x better deal. Thats not even counting modifications, if you put a 100 shot of nitrous on it would cost you $500-2000 depending on how fancy and safe you make your setup and  that would put the 300ZX in the M3's league and at 50-200 hp per thousand dollars nitrous would easily increase the value (from the buyers perspective) of either car significantly.
