Bmw m3 e36 - Power Steering Fluid?

Can anyone simply tell me where to locate the Power Steering Fluid Reservoir? I cannot seem to find it, do you know of any pictures where i could find where it is, can you describe to me where to locate it|?

  1. Look for a small black s***w on cap on the fender.


  2. As you open the bonnet it is on the right hand side of the engine, you have to look quite hard because it is sligtly buried its a black bottle

  3. Its sort of low down on the engine by the air filter and air intake pipe.

    It is not hard to take the air pipe off ( the one from the filter to the inlet manifold ) its just 2 jubilee clips.

    So it may pay to take that off so you can see it and top it up

  4. Don't just top it off.  Get your Power Steering hoses checked, you can crash if the oil ends up all over your brakes or tires!

    Our cars are notorious for leaking power steering hoses, its a known defect.  Be careful out there.
