Bmx.brakes or no brakes?

is it better to have brakes while your on dirt trails street ,jumps grinds all types of bmxing which is better...t

hi there i have a few bmxs myself some with no brakes and some with as the other person said it gives u freedom but a car coul come out an alley i front of u then wot would u do so id rather have brakes
