  1. Actually cleats will hinder your bunny hop. You need to tuck/suck the back end of the bike up into you to match the front wheel height and unless your seat is stupidly high you'll need to tilt/pivot your feet off the seat to "absorb the bike".

Lower your seat. Keep your bars vertical or just a few degress back from vertical to get good pull/lift.

I've bunnyhopped over upright garbage cans. Low seat and tuck/push on the bars at apex.

  2. u mean a J hop? well first get down wheelies and then once u got those down try doing manuals (wheelie without pedaling) then get a manual going and lift up the back tire as if a bunny hop

  3. You need more weight distribution. Dont lean back before oyou hop, jus pull up on the front end, once you do that all your weight is back, they throw your back up, then just even out in air. Over time you will be able to hope atleast a foot or more, and also the weight of your bike plays a huge role

  4. the guy above me knows the deal give him best answer.

  5. If you don't have cleats, bunny hopping is a lot harder and you won't get as much height, but it can be done.

Concentrate on using your feet first. Hop DOWN on both pedals, then lean slightly forward while you jump UP on the rebound. An instant later pull up and slightly forward on the handlebars, HARD. You have to use the rebound from the tires.

BTW, this is a great skill to learn: it can save your life on the road!
