Board Games for bored people?

like me and my daddy! we are a fan of guess who and we were wondering if any of you guys would share your favorite boardgames;; and we were also wondering if they came out with a new updated guess who..

I really like "faces" and "hoopla."  Hoopla is made by the makers of Cranium, and it is fun because you work together to beat the game.  There is also a fun and inxpensive game I found at Target, it is called "Toss Up" and it is super easy,  and super addicting.

You'll usually see many updated games. Monopoly, Clue, Guess Who, Sorry. They'll usually come out with them for like anniversaries or for like certain movies (Harry Potter for example.) One of my favorite games has been Sorry. I always enjoy beating my sister at that game ^_^ Anyway, if you go into stores, and go to their gaming aisle, you'll most likely find an updated version.

Have you ever tried Jenga? It is stacking of wood pieces and removing them, without having the tower fall. If 2 of you are wanting to play a game, Domino's are fun, there are a lot of different versions you can play. Redneck Life is a HOOT!...it is a funny version of the old LIFE game, and has "redneck" situations in it that are hilarious! Stratego, Battleship, and Risk are a few strategic games that are great for 2 players.

My favorite board game is Risk. I use to love Guess who when I was young. I think they have updated guess with pics of peoples jobs like firefighters, teachers, and docters.

Cranium is fun, although you need at least four people (for two teams of two).  Connect Four is a classic, as is simple chess or checkers.  Stratego is a fun 2-player game, and there are many variants nowadays (Lord of the Rings, Marvel Superheroes, Transformers, Pirates of the Carribean, and Narnia Strategoes, just to name a few).  Dread Pirate is a very well made game, as is the Fury of Dracula.  Munchkin and Killer Bunnies are fun card games.  Puerto Rico is a thinking game but very addictive (requires at least 3 players).  Carcassone is a popular tile-laying game (my girlfriend and sister's favorite).  And my girlfriend beats me regularly at Scrabble.

Scrabble is my favorite of all time.  Mancala is a good game and moves along quickly.  The old standbys of checkers and chess will never lose their appeal.

My favourite board games are Pictionary, Catchphrase and Outburst. Those are really fun, you should try them. They will take the boring out of your day. Trust me. :-)
