Board game of RISK?

Question

i got the game for christmas. its a pretty sweet game but i think it would be more fun if the figures were like metal. is there a metal set you can buy? perhaps paint yourself or something along those lines? something to make it a little more interesting. I know risk is a popular game still and just wondering if their are additional "toys" to add to the game... like places to store your off board figures and that type of stuff. im really interested in replacing my light plastic figures for something stronger like metal. any help would be great. thank you!

The 40th Anniversary Edition of Risk had metal figurine pieces.  You might want to look for that.

Risk has had a lot a different pieces during its history. I originally had wooden pieces and now I have plastic.

You could get creative and go down to the craft store and check out metal pieces that they have instead of paying the big bucks for a metal piece game.

I got the pc game of Risk for Christmas and it rocks. Maybe check the Hasbro website to see if they offer anything like that.
