  1. well i dont really know your taste, but you can go to boardingschoolreview.com and look for a school in that region or any region at all with you interest at mind. Maybe try to get into a program like A better Chance or Prep for Prep to help you with the finances

  2. Well there aren't too many boarding schools in the Midwest, good or bad. You should probably narrow it down to either California or New England, where you will find established boarding schools of all types with excellent financial aid offered. The lesser-known boarding schools in the U.S. aren't that particular when it comes to good grades, so a person with say average grades wouldn't have a hard time getting accepted. The more academic and well-known the boarding school is, the more competitive it is to be admitted.

The annual tuition range of boarding schools in the U.S. is from the low of $30,000 to the high of $45,000. The national average is $37,000/year. However, there are some boarding schools that have a tuition rate in the $20,000s, but these are mostly religious schools. With this in mind, I think it's much better to look for schools with excellent financial aid than it is to look for schools that are "extremely inexpensive". Look for boarding schools that have been around for quite a while and are slightly famous or famous, as these are the ones with the largest financial endowments. Schools with massive endowments tend to subsidize their students tuition so you end up paying much less than you normally would. On top of that, these schools have the best financial aid. Fortunately for many, these schools do not give you financial aid based on whether or not your grades merit it. At many schools (especially in New England), if you are accepted, and your family income is below a certain amount, then you are given full financial aid no matter your grades. Obviously the school expects you to maintain very good grades though. I recommend looking at the New England boarding schools. You should look at your grades reports for the past few years and see how they are. If they're amazing or even very good you should consider applying to some of the country's academic elite boarding schools. If not, then there's still many boarding schools to choose from that are very good.

To search for the boarding school that fits your criteria go to Boarding School Review, where you will be able to compare that school to the national average and read what current and former students are saying about it. Go here: http://www.boardingschoolreview.com/sear...

    Best of luck.
