  1. are u shure its cat urine?  my boat smells like c**p to and i wish it wouuld smell better to

  2. Animal urine has an amount of ammonia in it.  Same with humans.  Different animals expel larger or smaller amounts of ammonia.  Therefore designating the smell to a certain type of critter.  Several things can cause this cat smell other than a cat.  Mildew was mentioned here, and that is a very good answer.  Cat urine on carpet, under tile, or soaked in wood for prolonged periods gets stronger.  Same with mold.  It to will expel an ammonia order.  There is a good chance there is something else causing your problem.  I would look for mold, dampness, or some area with rotting wood, carpet, or substances.  If you think it is cat urine, you may want to get a black light a pet-smart, and start searching.  The light will expose anything that has ammonia emitting from it.  Good luck.

  3. Cats?

  4. maybe a feral kitty got in and peed everywhere?

  5. Mildew smell from the water leaking through the cabin walls.  I had that happen to my boat before.

  6. Rats.  Look for rat turds around the cabin.  Clean up with bleach.

  7. Im sure you either dock or pull your boat out of the water. That means a cat can & will get in. They give ya a shot & their on their way. There is no mistaking the smell of cat pizz. If you think you smelled cat pizz ? You did. Locate where it's coming from & clean w/ something strong.

  8. A stray cat got in there and marked is territory.

  9. i had the same issue with one of my boats; it ended up being that there were mice on board over thje winter, they had dragged pretty much anything they coudl carry into the bilge under the decking, which then clogged up with leaves and bad water as well as f***s. clean out the bilge, and make sure all crevices are under decking are free of anything including the mice...high temp steam clean with some chemicals is the way to go

  10. Are you sure it's not your breath?

  11. did you spackle in there -spackle smells like cat pee to me...

  12. Don't you close everything at night or leave everything open.

Eventhough you might not have cats, there might be stray cats in the neighborhood at night.

  13. check for mice.  the smell can be just as bad.

  14. Yes, it sounds like mold.  Don't worry, most cabins have it ,especially when stored over the winter.  They make a product you can put inside during storage that can eliminate the mold and smell.  I forgot the name of it but any boat supply house will have it.  Good luck!!

  15. It's possible a cat could've gotten onboard while the boat was in storage or docked.

  16. Could be lots of things.  I've got a boat that has had it's share of odors.  Found a product at Boaters World called FRIDGE-IT.  Originally made for refrigerators I guess, they really recommended it in the store and I've been hooked since.  It's really great.  Activated carbon is totally fragrance free and just hang or place these little purple cubes everywhere including bilge, cabin fridge, cabinets, etc.   Really worth trying. They really, really work.  I know you can buy direct which is what I do sometimes. - email at www.innofresh.com and ask for order form.  They mail product out very quickly.  Also, you can buy at Boaters World and Camping World

  17. It could be mildew.

  18. Yes, the smell is cat urine.  There are feral cats that live near your boat cabin. Next Question?

  19. The only thing that smells like cat urine is cat urine. One got aboard and marked turf. Clean with a bleach/water solution.

  20. do you have any amonia for cleaning in the boat or it could be sulfer if you run your boat in fresh water
