  1. AS ROSE SAID JB WELD 2.50 AT ANY AUTO PARTS STORE,......GREAT STUFF

  2. At one time using a Bar of soap and rubbing it on the area where it's leaking would work.  if you can reach it.  You might have to replace the tank.

  3. Do not put any flame to repair it or it will explode>Remove and replace> If aluminum i have fiber glass the hole tank but a lot if work and they didn't leak just for longevity>

  4. No flame around the tank !!!! can the tank be removed ? if yes, you can buy replacement plastic tanks from boat places like Bass Pro shop, Cabelas etc,,,When you replace, you need to put down rubber material where the tank sits where it will not rub a hole in tank. It is hard to repair a hole in a aluminum tank.

  5. DO NOT TRY TO SOLDER OR WELD THAT TANK. it will explode.  Go to the auto parts store. They carry a product for sealing gas tanks. it comes in a tube. you roll some of it out like clay, work it to get it soft enough to form to the area of the leak. then push it into the leaking area. it hardens and seals the leak. I have used it on motorcycle and car gas tanks. If you can, it works better if the area is dry, but just follow the directions on the tube.

  6. I would try to use a liquid solder compound that comes in a tube first.

I have not used my boat at all this year.  If you want to buy one, look me up!

  7. J B WELD buy it in a tube and smother it on - and it hardens like a weld - perfectly safe for gas tanks!

  8. Obviously you are not getting the correct answer for this question.  A boater has not answered your question that's why.  You must change a leaking fuel tank immediately.  You can't patch it up.  A leaking tank that has no visible signs of damage is a tank that is rotting from the inside out.  Very dangerous situation on a boat, can cause an explosion and kill you.  Change the tank as soon as you can, today would be good.  It can only be repaired by an expert if it is a large tank and they can cut out the rot.  Not worth the money, buy a new one and get it done quick, before you have an explosion on the boat.  Good Luck

  9. There is a product available at motorcycle shops to coat the inside of gas tanks and seal any leaks. I have used it and it works well.
