  1. Here's a guess: what they would like to sell you is the entire package, but are giving you is the price without power. They would like you to choose the power, and that price may vary greatly depending on what your choose, single, double, gas, or diesel. So I would be very surprised if they were just selling a stripped hull, but they can advertise that boat at a very low price and still power it for you.

  2. I've seen a number of hull only boats.

They a just hulls, decks, and housing.

It looks like a boat on the outside, but it's completely empty on the inside.

Some people like it this way because they can build exactly what they want.

This can be very, very expensive, and isn't for the average middle class person.

It really depends on the seller and the boat.

Many people say the same thing, but have different ideas of what it is.

I only work on large ocean going yachts, so 'hull only' in my trade means an empty shell (job security!).

I'm sure in many instances it may mean 'no motor' or systems.

  3. This is a very broad statement. Hull only means no motor. Also could mean no trailer/ no motor. Wiring and extras  could be there but if you are looking to buy a hull only boat  be sure to ask the seller a lot of questions.

  4. One thing you can be sure of is that it has no motor or outdrive/transmission. I've seen people sell boats saying hull only meaning JUST no engine/drive and i've seen them meaning that the hull has been completely stripped of all working components. Call them and ask, it's the only way to know for sure.
