Bayern Munich central defender Jerome Boateng suggests that he has fully settled in at the Allianz Arena, after playing well for them since the start of the new season. He has appearance in all the games for the Bavarian outfit
this term, mostly occupying the centre-back role.
The defender insisted that he has been handed a regular first-team berth due to his great run of form. He stated that he has the desire to play every match, and is not at all tired because of the tight fixture schedule. He further
added that he has the ability to be more flexible and possess great stamina.
"I always want to play and so far I do not feel any wear. I am the type of guy who regenerates very, very well. Also my body has become a lot more capable," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The centre-back conceded that he always gives his best and will continue to perform at the highest level without committing any errors in defence. However, he added that he will try to get better, but is no machine and will run
out of fuel sometime in the near future.
"I give everything and try to keep this level [of performance] or improve it further. But, I am not a machine," he mused.
The youngster then revealed about his disappointing spell with English Premier League club Manchester City. He stressed that he has so far enjoyed his time with Der FCB.
"I finally have fully arrived here [at Bayern Munich]. At this club, it is really not hard to feel comfortable. The move here [away from Manchester City] was an important step for me," he added.
Bayern Munich have displayed superb form this season and lead the Bundesliga rankings. Boateng is desperate and wants them to do well in all competitions, following a two-year trophy drought. Bayern will take on Lille in their
UEFA Champions League game.
