I am going tubing in the Gulf of Mexico this summer and I was wondering how fast the boat can go before I get hurt. Because there is a limit to going to fast, right? Thanks you guys. :)

  1. A safe towing speed will depend upon several variables, including: regulations for the specific body of water, the age, size, weight and physical ability of the riders; and overall water conditions. If you are towing young children, (most tubes are not designed for use by children under six (6) years of age), maintaining a slower speed becomes all the more important. As a general guideline, keep your speed under 10 mph when towing those 12 years of age and younger; under 20 mph for younger teenagers (13 to 16); and under 25 mph for older teens and adults. Keep the nose of the tube up until the tube is “on plane.” Also avoid sharp turns that could cause the tube to flip over and cause possible injury to the riders. It is also important to slow your speed when driving over boat wakes to avoid back injury, especially if the rider is lying in a stomach-down position on the tube.

  2. you can get hurt at most all speeds.  I usually tube at about 20-30 mph, and i dont fall of, but my sister did and she got 'water sting'   like a belly flop to parts of the body.  it must really hurt at 60 mph, not to mention 100.

  3. If you go 60 your arms will be so sore you will wish you were dead... .a long with the rest of your body. Believe me Im a massage therapist for the rich and stupid.

  4. Its possibale. you could. If you go under the tube thats serious pain! But if your just hittin the water its not so bad its still total ouchness and painful but so worth it.

  5. Well yeah assclown!  You want to pull a tube between 25-35 MPH.  And, in the Gulf of Mexico there will be swells that would prevent you from going 60 MPH anyway.

  6. at 60 moph yoru fine.. at 100 mph its gonna hurt like a BIT** if you fall out.  imagine. faling off a tree onto sandpaper

  7. only if u get winded likeair gets caught under the tube that happens at the emergancy room alot

  8. you shouyldent try unless you sereously Know what you are doing. you can get injured badly if you hit the water hard

  9. Depends on how quickly you go from 60 or 100 to zero.  A wall would stop you very quickly and would qualify as dangerous.

  10. In the US on most lakes there is a speed limit.  I'm not sure if there is a limit down there but falling in at 30 to 40mph hurts...

  11. yes you could Evan die

make sure you are always wearing your seatbelt and always drive at the speed limit

  12. If you crash, you could possibly get injured but that's true of just about any speed.

  13. h**l yes you'll get hurt at that speed. You better just hope your Blue Cross is paid AND that your Momma don't see this question or you may not get to the Gulf!!

I wouldn't want to go more than 30, what are you going to see or feel besides terror at 100??!!!

  14. If you fall off you'll be screwed. Have you ever gone tubing before? Falling off at 30 kinda hurts, so if you're going 60 you'll skip across the water.

  15. Thts a stupid question. IF UR GOING 100 MPH AND YOU HIT ANOTHER BOATS WAKE U WILL GET THROWN FROM THT LITTLE TUBE LIKE NOTHING. HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE. I ONLY HAVE 1 THING TO SAY

      S.tuck  O.n  S.tupid.

  16. I go around 40-ish. If you go too high and make some turns you could fall off and get hurt but if you go straight you should be fine..
