Question:

Boating at Lake Tahoe?

I'm interested in going to Lake Tahoe to wakeboard, and need to rent a boat.. anyone have any recommendations? I need to rent a boat that is already on the water (don't have a way of transporting it to the lake). Any help would be appreciated - I've only been to Tahoe to snowboard. :) Thanks

  1. There are actually some boats to rent down at South shore @ camp Richardson. You can rent a boat but Tahoe isn't that great of a lake for wakeboarding but it is probably your best bet on finding a place to rent a boat. You might be able to find one in Tahoe city or some place like that. Definitely just research it on the internet. I know for sure that Camp Richardson has some though. Good luck...Tahoe is such an awesome lake and place.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions or any problems finding stuff.

    Peace.

  2. Its good to wakeboard at tahoe on a cloudy day.  i dont know why but the water is just butter then.  Otherwise tahoe can be choppier then the ocean.  Also bring a wetsuit or drysuit to keep warm.

The best advice I can give you is get up early and ride.
