Boating question. Does anyone know where I can can latches for the little flap door in front of the outboard?

My boat has an outboard motor, and just in front of it there's a flap which can be brought up and down. I'm needing to get new hardware to keep the door, flap, latched, but not sure of what they actually call it. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Come on...be practical.

Take the make,model and serial number to a local dealer and they will order them for you.

If it proves out that the latches are no longer available, they may be able to suggest/order replacements.

Secondly try used parts&accessaries in the boat section of www.motors.ebay.com (ebay motors).

Lastly...west marine or the like...for something comparable with a little inventiveness on your part.

There called hinges and most marine stores have them>Also have complete hatches if they would fit your opening>
