Call the local Power Squadron, (coast guard office might be able to help locate)  They have classes all the time.

If you want to learn to sail, Id recommend any of the American Sailing Association Schools.

In particular the ASA school at Harbor Island in San Diego.

ASA.com is a good lead to their curriculum.

Contact any power squadron in LA or SD county, or the USCG.  they too can direct you .
