  1. With the gobal warming the ice is melting very fast, providing all the water......

  2. I just bought a Trojan tri cabin, ( 36ft). It has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. I`m going to use  it as a floating cottage this summer. I don`t want to pay land taxes and cut grass. I find you can have more fun on the water and see more things, cottages seem to be more work than anything.

  3. It doesn't NEED to be a houseboat to be comfortable !!

I lived on my 35ft sailboat for 5 years in San Diego and San Francisco Bay.  I had a nice bed, kitchen, dining-room/office, spare bedroom and bathroom.

I didn't have to pay as much as rental properties were going for... so I saved money... to pay for the on-going boat maintenance.  "A boat is a whole in the water you pour money into"

The BEST part was that on Friday afternoon after work I could slip my lines and sail away for the weekend.  Run up to the City to watch the Giant's play, visit another marina / Yacht Club for some party-time, or just enjoy sailing in BIG circles.

THEN, the "Environmentalists" and the Land-Builders bought out our marina, closed it, and build huge condo-towers !! AFTER claiming it would be "affordable housing".  500 people lost their "homes" so that 300 newly rich programmers could buy 3000 sq ft condos.

Funny thing is... the Dot.com bubble burst, the building stopped, and the marina was gone.
