Bob Arum: Timothy Bradley might be Manny Pacquiao’s 60th opponent – Boxing news
According to Bob Arum, Timothy Bradley might be Manny Pacquiao's 60th opponent since Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel Marquez are not showing seriousness towards the bout.

Manny Pacquiao is seriously losing his options and fighting charm. It seems that the only man available and ready to take on the Filipino congressman is Timothy Bradley, the current WBO light welterweight champion and world number one in his division.
Things are getting out of hand for Manny and his cronies. The whole credit for this ill scenario goes to none other than Bob Arum who is infamous for his precautionary attitude towards his money generating pugilists. Bob Arum’s recent senseless and profit
generating decisions has deprived the boxing fanatics of many huge high profiled bouts, a futile attempt by the old man who only knows how to make money and how to protect his golden assets.
According to recent news, three of the four pugilists advised on paper to Manny by Arum, have decided to move on and brawl with someone else. The only prospect left now is Timothy Bradley. Bradley, 28, an orthodox light welterweight will require an increase
in weight in order to take on the Pac-Man.
Timothy Bradley was on the list along with Miguel Cotto, Lamont Peterson, and Juan Manuel Marquez. Cotto decided to thumbs down Manny’s request of deducing his weight and fight, a request that eventually led the Puerto Rican to drop the Manny-bout idea altogether.
Lamont Peterson, on the other hand, is already bound in a strenuous controversy with Amir Khan regarding the contentious December 10, 2011 brawl that ended mysteriously and generated a whole series of controversies. Juan, who was Manny’s last target, fought
the Mexicutioner on November 12, 2011 and desires now to fight in his home country Mexico, a bout with any equivalent opponent in March.
The non availability of the three men other than Bradley has left no option for Manny and especially Arum but to throw in the ring the Desert Storm against the Destroyer. Arum while commenting on this scenario said, “Does it look closer to being Bradley?
It looks closer to being Bradley, obviously, by the process of elimination.”
When asked to comment the possibility of a change in mind by the Puerto Rican proud Bob mentioned, “What happens if Miguel Cotto comes back and says, 'Okay, I'll make the weight'? That opens up another possibility. But right now, he's saying that he wouldn't.”
Bob Arum’s intense precautionary attitude has placed Manny’s honour, fighting spirit, and even his demand in public at stake and at a very precarious position. Timothy has a flawless record of 28 wins in 29 bouts. The remaining one ended in a no contest.
Manny heavily overshadows Timothy but this is what Bob Arum is known for making his Top Rank bird’s fight each other.
