Bob Baffert with numerous achievements is still wishing to earn more
While preparing a horse, race trainers play a major role, if the horse wins, trainers earn the greater percentage of the credit.
Bob Baffert, a renowned horse trainer, is famous for not only the achievements he has earned, but for the training he has given to his horses, who have used their inner fighting instinct in a proper way.
This American trainer and horse owner, was born on the 13th of January, 1953, in Nogales, a city in Arizona, United States.
His success in numerous events is a major proof of his fame and popularity.
Since the age of 10, he was associated with horses. The very first award he received was the Eclipse Award Trophy.
He has also served his duties as a jockey, in 1970 when he won the first race at Flagstaff in Arizona.
Later on, he discontinued his occupation as a jockey, due to the fact that his weight was above the required weight of jockeys.
He started the session of training with the American quarter Horses, in 1971 Bob earned his first victory as a trainer, at Flagstaff and then the race on the road of success continued for the lucky trainer.
On the 28th of January 1979, stallion Flipper Star made Bob win his first race as Thoroughbred trainer, with a purse of $ 330.
Thirty Slews, was the first horse he purchased from the Thoroughbred auctions in 1988, this horse gave a hit in the $ 1 million Breeder’s Cup Sprint back in 1992
Bob with his victories, has been lucky enough to win numerous titles, among them are the Del Mar, Hollywood Park and the Oak Tree.
In 1991 Bob worked for the conditioning Thoroughbred for flat racing, with full dedication. In the same year he earned more accomplishments, by winning three stakes races at the Oak Tree.
In 1991, California Cup card, Cal Cup classic was won by stallion Charmonnier, Ebonair gave a hit in the Cal Cup Juvenile and Al Cup Sprint was won by Letthebighossroll.
The famous Kentucky Derby held in 1996 was in the hands of Bob, but unluckily stallion Cavonnier who was few seconds behind the winner, lost the race.
With his gray colt Silver Charm, he again fought for the Kentucky Derby title in 1997 and was successful in achieving the reward.
Isitingood, in 1996 at Emerald Downs, gave a hit in the Longarces Miles and won the the most important race for trainer Bob Baffert. With the same stallion at the Santa Anita’s course.
He has also achieved the honour of breaking the record of Dr Fager’s 29-year-old stallion, with the estimated time of 1 minute and 32.09 seconds in the Bart Stakes.
Bob Beffert bought Forestry for $ 1.5 million in the Kenneland Yearling sale, with this expensive stallion trainer Bob won the San Pedr, Stakes Grade 1 King’s Bishop Stakes and the Grade 2 Dwyer Stakes.
General Challenge another stallion who gave a hit in the Santa Anita Derby Pacific Classic held in 1999 and the Santa Anita Handicap held in 2000.
Cigar Mile a well known event in New York was won by Bob trainer’s Stallion in 2000 El Corredor won the race, in 2002 and 2003 Congaree gave a splendid hit.
Bob Beffert’s major wins starts from the Kentucky Derby which he won in 1997, 1998 and in 2002. Preakness Stakes declared him the winner last year as well as in 1997, 1998, 2001 and 2002.
In 2001 Belmont Stakes purse, was won by Bob’s stallion in the same year he also won the international race the Dubai World Cup, which he had previously won in 1998.
Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Fillies and the Breeder’s Cup Sprint was won by him in 2007, the Sprint Cup was won by him in 2008 as well as in 1992.
The amazing trainer got a chance to train approximately 22 horses which took part in races, due to his tremendous training he has been honored with hall of fame, in 2007 he was introduced in the Lone Star Park Hall of Fame and in 2009 U.S. Racing Hall of
Fame.
His activities as a trainer are still continued this 58-year-old trainer is in urge of gaining more and more success in the horse racing sport.
