Bradley: I want to coach in Europe
United States manager Bob Bradley has admitted that he would love the chance to coach in Europe after being linked with the now vacant manager job at Aston Villa.
Bradley has been quite successful in his role as head of the American team, who performed to expectations at the World Cup this summer. Now it seems that Bradley could be tempted in to managing a club in one of the major European leagues.
It is natural that news like this breaks when a manager unexpectedly leaves a club. Bradley is simply one of a high number of people who could do a job at Aston Villa.
Bradley has a number of coaching qualities that would make him successful in a job at one of Europe's top clubs. However, it's most likely that Aston Villa will go for a manager with a little more background and European experience.
Coaching qualities
Bradley seems able to get the best out of a group of players who are never going to be considered the best in the world. The USA team does not possess the biggest stars in football but they have done very well under Bradley's leadership.
A lot of this will be down to man management and this is something that Bradley is very respected for in America. He does not seem to be a manager who enjoys that attention but does enjoy focusing on his players and making sure they perform to the best of their ability.
He's got plenty of ambition and this is something that all managers need to succeed. He said: "I have said over and over as well that I am always excited about new and different challenges. Certainly coaching in Europe at some point is something that I would love to do."
Betting advice
Bradley's teams are always very well organised, disciplined and efficient. You will not have many opportunities to back the USA team because they are not due to play a high number of matches. Back off from betting on him for the Villa role because the club will surely go for a more experienced option.
If Bradley does move to Europe before most of the European leagues start then don't be afraid to have a punt on the team he coaches doing very well. He likes his teams to be very hard to break down, this makes them hard to beat and they lose fewer games because of it.
