The New Zealand Cricket on Thursday confirmed that they have signed Bob Carter as the assistant coach for national team through to the 2015 cricket World Cup.

"Bob brings a wealth of experience to the role having coached with Northamptonshire, Canterbury and with the Black Caps and will provide valuable support to head coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/LRPL-Taylor-c1849," New Zealand Cricket's director
of cricket told media persons after signing the three-year deal with the former Northamptonshire cricketer.
"He will help provide the right balance within the coaching group and complements the skill-set of the rest of the unit."
It will be Carter’s second stint with the national team in capacity of their assistant coach, after spending a number of seasons supporting the Kiwis throughout John Bracewell’s term as head coach (2005 to 2008).
Carter was also excited at returning to coaching at international level again and said that he was looking forward to the challenge of working with the Kiwis, fresh from mauling at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760. Though he made it clear that
he does not have an overnight formula to change the things for the Black Caps.
"Good players don't become bad players overnight," Carter told the New Zealand media. "The [national] side has some very fine players and I'm excited about the opportunity to work with them. And I believe I can add something working
with Mike. I'm really excited about it."
Carter, who started his first-class career with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754’s domestic club Canterbury in early 1980s, coached the county side in late 1990s before joining the Black Caps in 2005. Since 2008, he has been head
coach of Canterbury Wizards, and led them to the Plunket Shield title in 2010-11 season.
The England-born former first-class cricketer will join the Kiwis ahead of their upcoming tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, which is also head coach Mike Hesson's maiden assignment.
New Zealand will kick start their India tour with a Test match at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792, on August 23.
