  1. arguably the two finest light heavyweight champions of all time (ezzard charles & gene tunney would be there if they had won the l heavy title).

foster's power at 175 pounds was unmatched, but moore's defence was as good as it gets......but is wasn't flawless, as durell proved.

i can see this one going one of two obvious ways.....foster by stoppage, or moore by decision, but because moore was still taking on the best when he was pushing 50, i go with moore.

  2. Seems like moore would win.

  3. Archie Moore wins by late ko. Foster hit very hard and was tall but with Moores crab like defence he would be hard to connect cleanly  and so he would find away to get in the reach of Foster and take him out. Moore hit very hard is well and if he could put the Rock on the seat of his pants i dont think he would have trouble putting Foster their and keeping him their.

  4. I think Moore edges Foster on a close decision. His wealth of experience would overcome Foster's power, though he would feel it at some point in the fight, maybe even be floored briefly.

  5. As far as light heavyweight champions goes, Moore is my number 1 and Foster my number 2.  Both men had great punching power and both fought the very best competition.  Moore had more success against heavyweights than Foster did.  I believe that Archie would crowd Bob with his crossarm defense and land heavy shots but would have to endure some hard shots from Foster in the process.  This would be a very close fight with several momentum swings throughout.  I believe that Moore would have a little more left in the tank at the end of the fight and pul out a split decision in a very close fight of the two legends of the ring.
