Bob Will tipped to succeed in Betfred "The Bonus King" Handicap Chase
Bob Will has been in good form recently and will be looking to make the most of it in Betfred "The Bonus King" Handicap Chase at Market Rasen in England on Thursday, December 6, 2012.
He is an experienced campaigner, but does not have a good strike rate, which is not a positive sign for his team. Despite that, he has mostly been competitive in this format, which means that he cannot be taken lightly at all.
There are some decent stallions lined up for action in the class-4 contest, scheduled to kick off at 13:50 GMT. All of them will be fighting hard over 3 miles and 5 furlongs in order to bag a cash prize of £3,054.
Things will not be easy for anyone, as the conditions have become a bit tricky because of the overnight rain. The going has been described as good to soft, but there is a chance of an improvement before the start of action at Market Rasen.
Looking at the entire situation, Overquest has been rated as the favourite to succeed in the race. He is carrying the winning momentum right now and will definitely attract some bets in his favour.
The 10-year-old gelding has been in the sport for quite some time and knows how to handle pressure. His performances over fences have been really nice and he is not overly dependent on track conditions.
However, the Chris Grant’s trainee will like the track to be wet, as that will suit him more than anything else.
Overall, he has appeared in 10 chase events, winning three of them whereas finished as a runner up and in third place once each.
On the other hand, Bob Will has got a slightly more experience compared to his main rival in this format. Moreover, he has been enjoying a very good time over the past several events, which will give him the confidence to outperform others.
The seven-year-old gelding finished as a runner up in his most recent race, which was a pretty decent result. However, he will be looking to make an improvement this time around in order to claim his third victory over fences. He will be partnered by jockey,
Henry Brooke, who accompanied him in the previous two races as well.
