Bob hairstyle with wavy hair??

Question

I really like how bobs like this look: http://www.hairstyles53.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/long-bob-hairstyles-7.jpg but I have wavy hair that I don't want to straighten ALL the time. If I wanted to get a hairstyle like that could the hairstylist give me one similar but one that would look good wavy and look good if I straightened it?? Also is this style appropriate for a 15 year old?? Thanks!!

Have your stylist give you a textured bob as opposed to a more blunt cut bob like Nicole Richie's. Generally, your stylist will do this by cutting your hair with a razor as opposed to scissors. That way, it is textured enough to wear wavy without it being heavy, but you should be able to get nice, flat layers with your straightener!

Not only is your hair curly, but it's also thick (color me jealous).  I'm not so sure it would lie right if you cut it into a standard bob.  You could get it stacked in the back and tapered in the front, though--that would give it some shape and volume.

I like that bob, however I also have wavy hair.  What I do is when I'm ready to get my hair cut, I'd ask the hairstylist.  If I do get it cut into that type of style, I know what my hair can do, and usually I can alter a style with that cut so that will compliment my wavy hair.

That hairstyle can only look good straight, because if it's wavy it would look too bushy. If you added some mid-length layers it would look good wavy and straight. So i advise layers!!

Well I'm getting my hair texturized and I'm leaving it open. I think the best way in doing a bob with wavy hair is to leave it or maybe part it out the front of the hair similar to the picture and use a little pretty clip to hold it

No - your hair is curly - it would be a lot of work.

you could get your hair permanently straightened or you could use Herbal Essences.. dangerously straight..... pin straight mousse!
