Boba drinks and Doughnuts in California?

why are there lots doughnut stores and boba drinks stores in California

Many BOBA drinks in the La Crescenta / Glendale area.

Just stroll by on Foothill Blvd. and you'll find a lot.

As for the doughnuts .. there are many places for that

but i havent found a place that has both.

That's a good question!  Well, my guess is because the boba trend is an asian thing and there are lots of asians here in CA.  As far as the doughnut thing...I haven't the first clue!
