Bobby Alexander powers his way into Men’s Singles second round at Djarum Sirnas Flypower Bali Open
Indonesia’s Bobby Alexander found a tremendous start and powered his way into Men’s Singles second round after defeating his team-mate Rino Ramadhika in first round contest at Djarum Sirnas Flypower Bali Open 2012 in Indonesia, on Monday, November 5.
The lofty Bobby, who has been working well in training sessions to elevate his skills, played with remarkable precision and managed to end up the opening round contest by consuming just 20 minutes on court.
Bobby was in remarkable form as he showed a great character in the whole battle and easily registered his mark over Ramadhika in straight games with a crushing margin on score board.
Ramadhika, on the other hand, could not live up to the expectations as he failed to play positive and aggressive badminton and eventually went down against his in-form compatriot without winning any game.
In the first set, the impressive Bobby delivered a staggering performance on court as he played powerful shots with commanding a control from opening points.
Muster it further, Bobby showed an amazing performance at net proving that he has got top class skills on court and ultimately got a strong position by grabbing a wonderful lead until the break.
After the mid-game interval, the confused Ramadhika failed to get stronger as he lost his focus on court and also could not match the speed of his opponent.
On the other hand, Bobby did not reduce the pace of rallies at any stage and easily took the opening game with a surprising 21-9 margin on the board.
In the second game, Bobby played with stunning speed without sparing any opportunity for Ramadhika to get a good rhythm.
The powerful smashes and impressive net killings kept Bobby ahead of his confused opponent all the way until the one-minute interval.
In the concluding half of this fight, Ramadhika could not show strong performance as his opponent Bobby played positive badminton and grabbed the game with a comfortable 21-11 score on the board.
Bobby emerged as the winner in the opening round encounter by taking just 20 minutes with a phenomenal margin of 21-9 and 21-11.
