<p style="text-align:justify"><strong>Bobby Reynolds</strong> <strong>pushes out </strong>
<strong>Sanam Singh</strong> <strong>from the 1<sup>st</sup></strong><strong> </strong><strong>round – Charlottesville Challenger 2011</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Third seeded American Bobby Reynolds sent Indian wildcard entrant Sanam Singh packing home in the first round of the Charlottesville Challenger 2011.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The two took up racquets on indoor hard courts of the Boar’s Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Virginia. After a lengthy two hours and ten minutes, third seeded American Reynolds got rid of the Indian wildcard entrant, Singh
by surviving a mid match slip of 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-2 on Tuesday the 1<sup>st</sup> of November 2011.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Singh opted to serve first after he had won the service toss and he got off to a bad start as he was unable to win a game on his serve. On the other hand, Reynolds had spooled off straight two games to place himself on the scoreboard
with a mini lead of 2-0.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">In subsequent six games, the players bagged three more games each as they held their respective serves and by the end of the eighth game the score had progressed to 5-3 with Reynolds leading the set. However, Reynolds was unable
to close off the opening game and allowed his adversary to reel two games to tie the score at 5-5 at the end of the tenth game.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">During the last two games the challengers once more held their serves and eventually the set was pushed into a tiebreaker as each player had bagged six games each by the end of the twelfth game. Amidst the tiebreaker the players
battled it out and ultimately Reynolds bagged the opening set by clinching the tiebreaker at 7-4</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Second set of the match was initiated by Reynolds and luckily both the players were able to hold their respective serves skilfully to place themselves on the scoreboard at 1-1. Although Reynolds was a stronger player, he eventually
double faulted and endorsed a crucial break to his adversary. Mean while, Singh capitalized from the break and then held his serve to take a mini lead of 3-1 by the end of the fourth game.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">In subsequent four games, the players bagged two games each on their service games and the scoreboard rotated to 5-3 with Singh leading the set. As Singh smashed a crosscourt forehand, he bagged the second set.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">At the end of the first two sets the players had bagged a set each and opening the decisive set was Singh. This time the two challengers traded in breaks in the first two games and the score had progressed to 1-1. However, Singh
came under pressure and double faulted two more times in the third and the fifth game. Mean while, Reynolds bagged three successive games to further increase his lead to 5-1.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Although, Reynolds was unable to close the match in the following game, he eventually did it on his own serve and sealed his victory of.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Next up for Reynolds is compatriot Jarmere Jenkins in the second round of the event.</p>
