VfB Stuttgart team trainer Bruno Labbadia is expected to stay with the Mercedes-Benz Arena side as he is likely to sign a contract extension with the German team. The veteran manager took the post at the Reds almost two years ago
and his contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
The 46-year-old former Germany forward previously coached Hamburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Greuther Furth in the German top division. The general manager Fredi Bobic stressed that he is eager to extend the stay of the tactician for
a couple more years.
The trainer is expected to pen a long term deal but the sporting director insisted there is no rush to sign the contract extension. He claimed that he is having discussions with his coach about the possibility of a new deal.

Bobic further added that he is talking about the long term future of Die Roten as a team and determining possible strategies and goals. He said this is good news for the club but maintained that no details will be leaked just yet.
The 40-year-old commented that he will tell the outcome of the conversation at a later date when they think it is the right time. Stuttgart have failed to make an impact in the domestic league this time around and are currently
15th in the rankings. The team came sixth last year and will be hoping to at least achieve the same feat.

Bobic is an extremely successful player of his time. He won the 1996 UEFA European Championships with Germany and the German Cup with Stuttgart.
