Body Deodorant in the Refrigerator?

I've heard that putting your deodorant stick in the refrigerator will make it last longer. is this true? or are there any more benefits. thanks.

deodorant lasts long anyways, im not sure how much longer you want yours to last

why go through the trouble of putting it in the fridge,

i guess if you do chill it it will feel refreshin when you put it on, thats the only benefit i can think of
