my friends 6'4" 180 lbs, im 5"9' 180 lbs. hes got a lot of reach on me, and when we bodyboxed last night he would always stay back and swing wild hooks on me. hes quick too, but they didnt hurt that bad, but i constantly found myself trying to block all his rather than punch him. I want to be aggressive but i want to be smart too, how do i change my style to where i can beat him??? Thanks! heres some pics of me, even though i know nothing of boxing really....

  1. dont know man but ok that foo is skinny at 6"4 so try to hit him in his upper arms cause on that weight his in, he probably has chicken arms so  is really going to hurt him and definately he'll throw less punches and then you can star being aggressive, hit him right dont the middle of the chest and youll take all hes air out to be honest your in pretty good shape and hes not cause hes all the and skinny so just try to be as agressive of possible and quick and you'll see him retreat in no time

  2. OOO you should steal tactics from joe stephenson and tyson griffin :D

  3. Go to a boxing club and learn proper techniques and combinations. If your quick enough, then regardless of the height difference, you should be able to get some shots in.

To be honest, judging from your pictures, you appear to be physically in better shape then him.

You sound fat and probably have a high B.M.I but you can clearly tell from those pictures that it's solid muscle. Your friend sounds too skinny, so i don't know how he's getting any weight behind his punches.

My brother is a boxer, he's about 6'4 and weighs over 200 lbs. I think he was 211 last time he got weighed, and there is no way he's fat, it's obvious it's pure muscle.

Although, he's been boxing for many years and is at the point where he trains intensely nearly every-night without fail.
