Which fat do you lose to get a lean and sharp face with defined jawline?

Subcutaneous fat?

Visceral fat?

Can you spot reduce the individual fats? Or does it both come off at the same time?

  1. That would be subcutaneous fat. Subcutaneous fat is under the skin; visceral fat is around internal organs.

There is no way to target specific locations of fat, or specific types of fat to lose (except liposuction or other forms of surgery). Fat distribution is to a huge extent determined by your hormone balance (which is not recommended to manipulate except under very unusual circumstances) and your genetic make-up (which you can't really change with modern know-how).

The nearest thing you can do is target specific muscles to exercise and build up, so the larger muscle in that location makes the fat there appear less prominent.

I have no idea how you would target face/jaw muscles for exercise though. General fat-burning diet/exercise regimes would reduce overall fat.
