Body hair looks??????

Question

I have this line of chest hair from my belly button to the middle of my pecks. The hair is very light black and quiet soft and fine. When i look down at it the line is visible to me, however when I stand for example in the front of the mirror, even when there's a lot of light i can't see anything and my chest looks completely bare.

Seems weird to me but anyone know why??
