  1. They are usually made from either fiberglass or plastic, and are usually already primered with primer paint, which is why they appear white.

To fit to your car, its best to get them professionally fitted, as some modifications may be required to get the kit to fit neatly, and to ensure they are correctly done. A bodykit usually consists of a front bumper, and a rear bumper, plus sideskirts along the bottom sides of the car under the doors, so to speak. (creates the impression of a lower car, and stops the car looking silly if theres a huge bumper stuck on the front and on the back)

To paint to match the car, its cheaper than a full respray (full respray could be well over £1000 if youre in the UK) however colour matching for your car will be difficult to ensure a perfect match- I'd expect to pay £200 to £400 to have a proper job done professionally. Of course you could always do it yourself, but thats generally a bad idea.

The cars driving won't be majorly affected, other than the kit being lower to the ground, speedbumps requiring more care etc. and also your insurance premium will increase a fair bit, depending on who you are insured with. Also they are more likely to be damaged in case of an accident, generally because they are a lot less strong and durable than the standard car bumpers, unless you are willing to spend a lot of money. Bear in mind, if you have an accident, it will be more difficult and more expensive to replace the bumper with the same one, rather than the stock one.

Remember you MUST inform your insurer, as any incidents occuring with the new bumper, will make the insurance void unless they know you have the modifications fitted.

Good luck! Hope I was of some help.
